About Jon-Mark Davey

The Landscape of Stories

I am a storyteller, photographer, memory keeper, and lifelong builder of systems that help people connect with what matters most.

Preserving stories, exploring landscapes, and mapping meaning across generations.

For much of my career, I worked in broadcast television, media production, technology leadership, security, sales, and executive management. Along the way, I was honored to receive multiple Telly Awards and Regional Emmy Awards for television and commercial production. Those experiences taught me how powerful stories can be when they are shared well.

Today, my focus is different.

I spend much of my time behind a camera, exploring wetlands, wildlife habitats, and quiet places where stories often reveal themselves. From the boardwalks of Wakodahatchee and Green Cay to the marshes of the Everglades, the lakes of Florida, and the mountains of Tennessee, photography has become both a creative pursuit and a way of preserving moments that might otherwise be forgotten.

But photography is only part of the story.

I have long been fascinated by memory, meaning, and the connections between people, places, objects, and experiences. That fascination has led to projects such as Coffee With Grandpa, the Stanley Story Collection, MyKeepscape, QuakerVille, and TopographyOS. Each project explores the same question in a different way:

How do we preserve stories so they can continue to serve future generations?

At the center of everything I do is a simple belief:

I am a servant.

Photography is a tool. Technology is a tool. Storytelling is a tool. Knowledge is a tool.

Service is the destination.

Through this website, I share photographs, stories, reflections, family history, creative projects, and ideas about preserving memories in a rapidly changing world. My hope is that visitors find something that helps them remember, appreciate, preserve, or pass forward the stories that matter in their own lives.

Thank you for visiting.

There’s always room at the table.
