This is day two of my photo challenge requested by my friend Don Bromberg. A bunch of photographers from all over the planet are participating and it will be easy for you to participate too.

I call this one “My Jogger Watcher”. Frequently you will see these big, graceful birds, Great Blue Herons, standing on the handrail of the boardwalk watching the people around them. This was captured in Wakodahatchee Wetlands Preserve where these birds live and multiply.  This image is a special process using DAP, ACDSee and hand drawing to bring out details. Most of the times when I’m standing next to a non-bird person watching these herons they comment that they can’t see why they are celled blue herons. This image helps to highlight the wonderful blue colors in their feathers it’s not painted in just “revealed” with a special hand assisted process. These birds are so beautiful.
